Experimental skill summary:

o   Bioinformatics Tools: Primer design, sequence analysis, blast searches (Gene Fisher - Interactive PCR Primer Design, Primer-BLAST, Entrez Gene, VecScreen , Entrez Genomes , COGs - Clusters of Orthologous Groups , Entrez Genomes),ApE plasmid editor.
o   Maintenance of laboratory records through Excel databasing and Laboratory Integrated Management Systems (LIMS).
o   Genomic, Plasmid and Bacterial DNA extraction.
o   Isolate DNA from tissue, cells and blood, prepare samples for PCR and sequencing, and sequence editing.

Ø  Currently work: Researcher Associate:
o    The laboratory of Theriogenology and Biotechnology, College of Veterinary Medicine, Seoul National University (February 2010 to present)
                       -Gene cloning in different experssion vectors.
                       -T cloning and Gateway cloning.
                       -Generation of 2A peptide-linked multicistronic vectors.
 -Culture of mouse cells (CF-1, STO) and feeder cells preparation.
 -Primary culture and transfection.
-Basic molecular work (DNA and RNA extraction from blood,tissue and cells)         
Ø  Volunteer Researcher:
o     The laboratory of Dr. Andras Nagy, Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute, Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto ON (March 2009 to September 2009)
-Genotype mouse samples (DNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis), working side by side with many graduate students and post-doctoral researchers.
-Culture of mouse iPS cells for screening of the presence of the transgene, maintenance, passaging, long term cryostorage, LacZ staining.

-Study of Circadian Rhythms in Pseudomonas Putida.
- Work with bioinformatics tools, and different techniques in Molecular Biology and Microbiology, such as Bacteria isolation from different surfaces (ground, plants) bacterial culture, bacterial cloning, bacterial transfection, and chromosomic DNA and plasmid purification, restriction analysis.

o   Institute of Parasitological and Biomedicine Lopez-Neira (IPBLN). Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas (Spanish National Research Council-CSIC), Granada, Spain. July to August, 2006.
     -Genotyping and analysis by Q-PCR of patient samples of GCA (Giant Cells Arteritis) as well as of Chron’s patients
     -Designing of primers for genotyping using bioinformatics tools (GeneFisher - Interactive PCR Primer Design, Primer-BLAST) and analysis of sequences.

- Genetic analysis of patientssamples (Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Chron, Ulcerous Colitis and Indeterminate Colitis) by DNA extraction and analysis (PCR-ARMS and restriction digestion) and gene expression analysis by RNA extraction and quantitative RT-PCR (Taqman).

                      -Routine haematological analysis of human blood samples to determinate for example glucose, protein and hormone levels in a laboratory of clinical analysis and special biochemistry.
                     - Additional duties included quality controls and bacteriological analysis.
